I created this site to serve as my online portfolio, though I’ve found one of its main benefits is to help me organize my cluttered online presence.

I’ve been blogging and creating Web content for nearly 10 years. During most of that time, I worked as a newspaper reporter and editor. Currently, I’m a media strategist for Public Citizen, a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. Except where otherwise noted, I either wrote, edited, photographed or videotaped all of the content on this site.

In some cases, the material was created as part of my duties as a press officer for Public Citizen. I wrote all the Public Citizen press releases and statements linked to from this site. They are presented here as links to my work samples. This site is not associated or affiliated in any way with Public Citizen.

All of the blog entries excerpted here, except those from CitizenVox.org, were written in my free time and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of my employer.
